How long have you been in business? Do you have a business license?

I've been a wedding planner since January 2017, however I've been managing and executing projects in the corporate world for over 8 years now. I have a master business license that allows my company to conduct business in Canada, as well I am insured for any liabilities or issues that may arise.

Are you a member of any wedding association(s)?

Yes! I am certified through most comprehensive and respected Wedding Planning Institute of Canada for both Wedding Planning & Coordination and Destination Wedding Planning & Coordination.

What is your code of ethics?

As a Certified Wedding Planner, we are held to the highest standard of conduct.

- We do not accept kickbacks (money for referrals) from vendors. Vendors must know that the clients are the recipients of any discounts given.
- We treat each client fairly, and we will be honest and upfront in the representation of our clients.
- We uphold our ethics. We will not take or attempt to take clients from, or discredit, other vendors with gossip or slander.
- Every client will receive a detailed contract for Wedding Day Direction, Destination or Full Wedding Coordination services.
- We will provide all services agreed upon in the contract that must be signed by both the client and Coordinator at the commencement of service.
- We believe in continuous education, networking and training within the Wedding Industry.
- Our pricing is upfront.
- We always endeavor to benefit our client and not ourselves. Vendors are suggested on merit, in the best interests of the client, not ourselves or the vendor suggested.
- We can not guarantee your wedding will be perfect, but we can guarantee we will do everything within our power to make sure it is as close to perfection as it can be.

What is your most popular package?

Our most popular package is the Day/Month-Of Wedding Planning Coordination service. In this day and age with technology, many couples know how to find their own vendors for their wedding. It is up until 4-6 weeks prior to their wedding day is when they need someone to take over the reigns to be the main point of contact for their family and friends, venue and hired vendors. To keep everyone on time and to mitigate any issues that arise. Couples are aware that they can’t be in the spotlight and enjoy their big day, while trying to manage their wedding in the backend.

However, I do have clients who opt for the Full Wedding Planning as they are busy professionals who needs a Wedding Planner to do all the legwork and funnels all communication with the potential venue and vendors.

If you're unsure as to which package to proceed with, let's chat over a virtual coffee meet up to get an understanding of your wedding day and what you need help with in the planning process. No obligations, we're here to help!

Can you help us stay on budget?

Yes! If you’ve hired us for full wedding planning service, you will receive a wedding budget template that will help you stay on budget. The spreadsheet will also provide a breakdown for each category to ensure that you are over your budget when securing a particular vendor.

What happens in case of an emergency?

If due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to complete work for your wedding, a comparable wedding planner will be assigned by Karin Wu & Co. suggested from WPIC Alumni, Wedding Planning Institute of Canada for Certified Wedding Planners. The new wedding planner will be provided a full hand-off and rundown of your wedding day to ensure that no details are missed.

Do you have a payment plan for your services?

Yes we do! We require a non-refundable initial retainer to secure your wedding date with us, and the remaining balance will be broken into 2 installments to be paid prior to your wedding day. If you want to customize your installment plan further, we're flexible, Just let us know!

Here are the amounts for the non-refundable initial retainer for the services accordingly.

Petite Wedding Service - $1000 + HST
Day/Month-Of - $500 + HST

Do you take a commission or discount from any of the vendors you would refer us to?

No we do not, please refer to the Code of Ethics above. Each vendor or venue is suggested solely based on their merit. We do not take kickbacks or commission fees from venues or vendors. Clients are only shown venues and vendors that fit their style, theme and budget.

Will you be the person on site the day of our wedding or will it be another planner?

I will be the person on site the day of your wedding. If I have designated another lead planner to manage your wedding day, you will be fully aware of the situation prior to securing your date with us!

Depending on your wedding size, I will have the appropriate amount of assistants that day to ensure we are not understaffed and your day goes as smoothly as possible!

Additional assistants are at a rate of $150 + HST/each

What time do you typically arrive and depart on the day of our wedding?

For Day.Month-Of & Full Wedding Planning, we typically arrive just before you do your Get Ready photos, and will conclude our services 30 minutes after your dance floor opens after stowing away your personal items.

For petite wedding service, we typically arrive 1 hour prior to your ceremony, and depart after the two-hour service.

What is your refund or cancellation policy?

In the event that you want to cancel before your wedding for any reason (including acts of God, fire, strike, illness or injury, extreme weather), a part of the initial retainer is non-refundable. Cancellations must be made in writing, signed by the contracted party and sent via Certified Mail by Canada Post to our mailing address.

The refundable amount will be determined based on how soon your wedding date is.

What is your covid policy?

As a small business owner, we do recommend you choose to reschedule/postpone your wedding date instead of cancelling. Once you've decided to reschedule, a proper written notice must be sent to us by email, stating your intention to reschedule, and if known, identify the new wedding date. If you decide to cancel your wedding, the initial retainer is non-refundable.

In the event that we are not available for your new rescheduled date, another reputable wedding planner company from WPIC organization will work your wedding day. In this case, they will be provided with a full hand off of all details pertaining to your wedding.

as we're now living in an unprecedented time, how do you stay safe during covid-19?

As of 2020, we are fully equipped with personal protective equipment when working at each of our client's weddings. Our wedding emergency kit is always fully stocked up with disposable face masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and Lysol wipes, in case anyone requires them on the day of. This is to ensure the safety of our staff as well you and your guests at your wedding. Social distancing will also be considered when interacting with you and your partner, the venue, vendors, and your guests. We want everyone to be safe!
